HOPE PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION: PHILADELPHIA, PA.

crowd

In 2001 the Sisters of Mercy and the Society of the Holy Child Jesus met to discuss a dream. Now, years later that dream is a reality. Under the leadership of Sr. Rose Martin, RSM, the middle school opened September, 2013 in its new home at 11th and Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia. The seeds of this dream began as an after-school project, evolved into a middle school in rented space and then purchased the Salvation Army building that welcomes new and returning students.
Because their mission is so close to CC4CF's mission the board decided to sponsor this noteworthy project. Along with the middle school Hope Partnership also holds Adult Literacy and GED classes. CC4CF board members and volunteers, in conjunction with St. Joseph's University's Global Community Day, planted some pansies in the courtyard of the new building to spruce up the outside for the spring season. Summer petunias replaced the pansies. Go to http://www.hopepartnershipforeducation.org for more information about the mission of Hope Partnership for Education.
